Small Business Training
First launched in 2010 ETTI's Small Business Training (SBT) Program is modeled on the International Labor Organization's Start-Your-Own Business (SYOB) Training Program, and adapted to local needs.
The training program helps would-be entrepreneurs develop business proposals, secure small business loans, understand the legal and tax environment and develop skills for managing people and finance.
The program is linked to a provincial government scheme that provides interest-free loans to new start-ups.
In 2010 ETTI helped 94 individuals win loans to start new enterprises. ETTI also provides ongoing mentoring to loan recipients.
ETT's Small Business Training Program is the only one of its kind in western China.
