Video media

In late 2012, ETTI worked with filmmaker/photographer Laura Portinaro to produce the following short film documenting ETTI’s programs and the impact they have. A Chinese-subtitled version of the film is available here.

In September 2011, the Australian Broadcasting Corporation’s Foreign Correspondent TV program documented ETTI’s Youth Pre-Employment Training (YPET) Program. Their resulting TV episode tells the story of two YPET students as they begin their journey with us. The episode can be accessed here and below.



In late 2009, documentary filmmaker and journalist Elise Potaka visited ETTI to volunteer her time. She collaborated with ETTI staff and students to produce the video below (Chinese and English audio and subtitles).



In 2007, Diqing Prefecture Television (a local television station) documented ETTI’s youth training program and produced the video below (Chinese audio and subtitles).

In January 2010, ETTI Chair Ben Hillman discussed the future of development in Tibetan areas in a Wall Street Journal article titled Development with Tibetan Characteristics. The article can be accessed here.


In May 2009, National Geographic visited Shangri-la and spoke with ETTI Chair Ben Hillman about the issues facing young people in the region. The resulting article titled Parallel Rivers: Searching for Shangri-la can be accessed here.
